Affiliate Disclosure

What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a specially tracked URL that lets a company know a visitor came from our website. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase (or sign up for a service), HoodServe may receive a commission or referral fee from the company at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is always the same whether or not you use our link.
Our Commitment to Honesty
HoodServe's primary business is selling software subscriptions to service businesses — not affiliate marketing. Affiliate income is supplemental. This means:
- We will never recommend a product or service solely because it pays a commission.
- We will never rank, feature, or favor a product based on commission rate.
- Negative or critical coverage of a product is not affected by whether we have an affiliate relationship with that company.
- We clearly label affiliate content in every blog post that contains affiliate links (see below).
Affiliate Networks We Use
HoodServe's blog may contain affiliate links from the following networks and programs. Each link is subject to that network's terms and tracking practices:
| Network / Program | Types of Products | Their Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Associates | Books, tools, equipment, software, office supplies | Amazon Privacy Notice |
| CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction) | Business software, services, and tools | CJ Privacy Policy |
| Impact | SaaS products, business services, marketing tools | Impact Privacy Policy |
| Admitad | International e-commerce, business tools, services | Admitad Privacy Policy |
| Other programs | We may join additional affiliate programs. This page will be updated when we do. | Disclosed per post |
How Affiliate Tracking Works
When you click an affiliate link, the network typically sets a tracking cookie on your browser. This cookie:
- Identifies that you came from HoodServe's blog.
- Has an expiration window (e.g., Amazon's is 24 hours; others may be 30–90 days).
- Allows the merchant to attribute any purchase you make to our referral.
- Does not give HoodServe access to your personal information or purchase details — we only see that a conversion occurred.
Affiliate tracking cookies are third-party cookies set by the network, not by HoodServe directly. You can opt out of these cookies via our Cookie Policy or by not clicking affiliate links.
Amazon Associates Specific Disclosure
HoodServe is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
FTC Compliance
We comply with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255) and the FTC's Disclosure Guidelines. Every blog post or article containing affiliate links will include a clear disclosure at the top of the post, such as:
No Endorsement of Third-Party Products
Mentioning or linking to a product does not constitute a formal endorsement. All products and services are used at your own risk. HoodServe is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or availability of any third-party product or service we link to.
