No App Store Required
HoodServe is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — it installs directly from your browser with no App Store or Play Store download needed. It works on iPhone, Android, and desktop computers.
Installing on iPhone (Safari)
- Open Safari on your iPhone (must be Safari — Chrome won't show the install option on iOS).
- Go to your company's employee portal URL.
- Tap the Share button (the box with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen".
- Tap Add in the top-right corner.
- The app icon will appear on your home screen like any other app.
Installing on Android (Chrome)
- Open Chrome on your Android device.
- Go to your company's employee portal URL.
- You may see a banner at the bottom saying "Add HoodServe to Home Screen" — tap it.
- Or tap the three-dot menu (top right) → "Add to Home Screen".
- Confirm by tapping Add.

Enabling Push Notifications
After installing the app, you may be asked to Allow Notifications. Tap Allow to receive alerts for new assignments, overdue responsibilities, and referral bonuses. You can turn these off in your phone's notification settings at any time.
📲 Most employees find it easier to check their schedule and responsibilities through the app rather than the browser. We recommend installing it on your first day.
