Configuring Notifications
Go to Settings → Notifications. Each event has toggles for:
- Bell notifications — shown in the in-app notification bell
- Email notifications — sent to the relevant user's email
Automated Client Emails
HoodServe sends certain emails to clients automatically on your behalf:
- Welcome email — when you create their account (includes portal login)
- Invoice email — when you send an invoice (includes payment link)
- Estimate email — when you send an estimate (includes approve/decline link)
- Contract email — when you send a contract (includes signature link)
Push Notifications (OneSignal)
For real-time push notifications on your phone (even when the app is closed), connect OneSignal:
- Create a free OneSignal account at onesignal.com.
- Create a Web Push app and copy your App ID and REST API Key.
- Go to Settings → Advanced → Push Notifications.
- Paste your OneSignal App ID and REST API Key.
- Save. Push notifications are now active for all owners and managers.
📧 Connect your own SMTP email (Settings → Email) so automated emails come from your business address — not a generic HoodServe address. This dramatically improves deliverability and looks professional.
