Why Your Services Catalog Matters
Your services catalog is the foundation of HoodServe. Services you define here appear on your public website, populate invoice line items, drive booking forms, and filter employee assignments. Setting it up correctly from the start saves time everywhere else.
Adding a Service
- Go to Services → New Service.
- Enter the service name (e.g., "Standard Home Cleaning").
- Write a description — this appears on your public website and in client emails.
- Set a price (flat rate or hourly).
- Choose a category (used to group services on your website).
- Optionally assign a default employee — pre-fills the booking form.
- Optionally restrict to a specific location.
- Click Save.
Service Variants
Use variants for options within a single service — e.g., "Standard Clean" with variants: 1BR ($80), 2BR ($120), 3BR ($150). When booking or invoicing, select the variant and the price fills in automatically.
Services on Your Public Website
Go to Website → Content → Show Services Section to enable your services page. Each service displays with its name, description, price, and a "Book Now" button. Visitors can filter by location if you have multiple branches.
Hiding a Service
To temporarily remove a service from your website without deleting it, toggle its Active status to off. It stays available for internal bookings but disappears from the public site and booking forms.
🎯 Write service descriptions from the client's perspective — what problem does it solve? "Deep Clean" sells better as "We clean every corner so you don't have to." than a bullet list of tasks.
