Creating a Booking

  1. Go to BookingsNew Booking.
  2. Select the client (or create a new one inline).
  3. Choose the service and optionally a service variant.
  4. Set the date and time.
  5. Assign an employee (optional — you can leave it unassigned and fill it in later).
  6. Select a location if you operate from multiple branches.
  7. Add any notes for the team (access codes, special instructions).
  8. Click Save.

Recurring Bookings

For clients on a recurring schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly), enable the Recurring toggle when creating a booking. Set the interval, frequency, and optional end date. HoodServe will track the next scheduled occurrence automatically.

Assigning Employees

When you select a service, the employee dropdown filters to show only employees whose assigned location matches the booking location. Employees with no location set appear for all locations. This prevents accidental cross-location assignments.

Creating an Invoice from a Booking

After a booking is marked Completed, open it and click Create Invoice. The service details pre-populate automatically. Review, adjust if needed, and send to the client.

Calendar View

The Schedule page shows all bookings in a calendar. You can filter by employee or location. Drag-and-drop is not yet supported — use the edit booking screen to change dates.

🗓️ Block off time for admin work, equipment maintenance, or days off by creating internal bookings marked as a non-billable service. This keeps your calendar accurate for employee scheduling.
